No Medium Love Lost

Staff Writer: Grave Digger

In a move that has fueled the feud between the peacock and the eye, NBC canceled its five year mid-season replacement: Medium.

In a related story, CBS has decided to keep Medium going (it's a CBS TV studio production) and place the show between Ghost Whisperer and Numb3rs.

CBS has floundered to find a show besides Moonlight to fill the chasm on Friday nights.

NBC let go not only Medium but My Name is Earl. Where's NBC going besides bankrupt?

The lineup is already streamlined. I hope the peacock doesn't believe Jay Leno in the last prime time slot five nights a week will save a captain-less ship.

Cry Me a River

Staff Writer: Samuntha Mackenzie

CBS gives Alex O'Laughlin a new series: Three Rivers. The medical drama centers around organ donations. Deep and dark, but not Moonlight by any stretch of the imagination. Still, if you missed the Aussie: he's back. An obvious ploy to fill ER's shoes.

All horror fans are left wondering is- Where is our vampire? Where is our Three Rivers cast photo? He cut his hair?

Anyway, there is a clip online. The rest of the cast are:

Katherine Moennig
Julia Ormond
Daniel Henney
Justina Machado
Christopher Hanke
Joaquim De Almeida

If the show doesn't go, CBS may learn quickly that you can't replace immortal torture with medicine.

An Eleventh Hour Cancellation

Staff Writer: Samuntha Mackenzie

CBS canceled the show Eleventh Hour.

The move comes as the fall lineup is announced. A drama with more scientific accuracy then some other scifi programs (we won't mention Fringe) was unceremoniously let go.

At least there was no cliffhanger.

Moonlight

Staff Writer: DL Mullan

3 ¾ out of 5 Shovels
This show was cancelled by CBS after one season. A promising show in between Ghost Whisperer and Numb3rs.

Slow at first, Moonlight picked up with the inclusion of secondary characters. Joseph, played by Jason Dohring, was the best addition. His attitude and ways were funny and took the audience off-guard.

The principle characters Beth and Mick worked well together. The actors, Alex O'Loughlin and Sophia Myles seemed to have a chemistry onscreen. The third wheel, the ex-wife Corraline played by Shannyn Sossamon, gave tension and suspense to the private detective story outside the main mystery.

CBS without foresight cancelled this series. Alex O’Loughlin is set to star in another series because of his popularity with fans. However, why not keep Moonlight on instead?
