New Jedi Order, Agents of Chaos II: Jedi Eclipse

The fifth book in the New Jedi Order series finds the New Republic on the verge of extinction. Resources and morale are at an all time low in the galaxy as the invaders continue their merciless attack on the galaxy.

Leia assists with evacuations and refugees. Luke tries to keep the Jedi together with one singular focus. Han is still seeking revenge and ends up in the middle of a desperate battle.

Working alone, the three heroes try their best to keep the New Republic from falling under the Yuuzhan Vong control.

More victories lie ahead for the alien invaders as the New Republic falters from the lack of coordination and leadership the galaxy needs to defeat this new enemy.

This work of fiction could better serve the series if the characters would hold true. Not many believe Han would dessert his family because of his recent losses, at least without a reference.

The novel was interesting and touched on many historical and personal remembrances in times of war, but the reader keeps waiting for a better evolution to this series.
