90's flim darling Alicia Silverstone has been cast in Vamps directed by Amy Heckerling of Clueless fame.

So should we expect the same tongue in cheek movie as before? Or is a more grown up story headed our way?

The other cast member is Krysten Ritter who is wrapping her film with Ben Barnes: Killing Bono. Vamps begins shooting in April.

Killing Time with Bono

Got some time on your hands? Then get to Belfast, Northern Ireland. Filming Killing Bono began filming a week or so back.

Perhaps you too can be in the film as an extra. And, you don't have to be Irish to play! What is it about other people, in this case English and Americans, playing Irish characters? Is it the accents?

Barnes is Killing Bono

An adaptation of Neil McCormick's book: I was Bono's Doppelganger is in the works. Ben Barnes will be playing McCormick. Krysten Ritter, Charlie Cox and Robbie Sheehan are the other cast members. Nick Hamm will direct.

The book's title has also been "adapted." Killing Bono is now the working title. Is this a smart move? Why change the title? Sometimes the shorter is better philosophy doesn't work well.

Anyway, has anyone told Bono?

Filming will begin January 11th in London and Dublin.
