Bay on the Half Shell

Staff Writer: Grave Digger

Michael Bay might be revamping the franchise along with Brad Fuller, Andrew Form, Galen Walker, and Scott Mednick.

With the recent Bay projects that have been lackluster, can we really trust the production companies to be realistic? Or is it unrealistic to hope?

I am Number Four

Staff Writer: Grave Digger

The film rights to an unpublished scifi book co-written by James Frey of A Million Little Pieces infamy has been bought by Michael Bay and Dreamworks.

"The "Four" story line involves nine alien teens assimilating to high school on Earth after their planet is destroyed by an enemy species. The fourth of the group discovers that the enemy is now after him on Earth."

Bay might be set to direct the feature. All parties are remaining mum on the subject. The deal is worth many zeros.

With the film rights bought, the publishing rights should not be too far away. Redemption for Frey? Or, another problem filled PR go around?

Bored Games

Staff Writer: Samuntha Mackenzie

In the next six years, audiences will be underwhelmed and flat out bored with Hollywood's next creative fix: Board Games.

That's right childhood favorites will now rot your brain instead of being fun family entertainment. Candy Land, Monopoly, Ouija Board, and Battleship have producers and directors ready to go. Those famous names include Kevin Lima, Ridley Scott, and Michael Bay.

With a limitless clamoring of writers and creative thinkers in Hollywood, why board games? What am I saying? These are the same geniuses who rip off comic books and novels instead of creating worlds themselves.

In a few instances the re imaging has gone well. It's the other percentage points that don't, is what worries the rest of us.
