SITGES SUPPORTS THE SUPERNATURAL SHOW’S

RISING CONVENTION

The Sitges Fantastic Film Festival is supporting the Rising Convention initiative that will be held on June 12th and 13th in Barcelona (Hotel Barceló Sants), dedicated to the hit TV show Supernatural.

This convention will bring fans of this show from CW (Warner Bros TV) up close with actors and actresses Jared Padalecki (Room 411 and Gilmore Girls), Jensen Ackles (Smallville and Dark Angel), Misha Collins (Castiel), Jim Beaver (Bobby Singer) and Samantha Ferris (Ellen Harvelle).

With access for 800 people plus media from all over the world (Spain, USA, Japan, Germany, England, France, Russia, Venezuela, etc.), the program will include panels/interviews, autograph sessions, contests, and concerts by bands paying tribute to groups that are on the show’s soundtrack like AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Metallica or The Rolling Stones.

SITGES is collaborating with the Rising Con by raffling off 4 Matinee Passes among those present to attend this year’s 43rd film festival, to be held from 7 to 17 October. To win one of these passes, participants must send a picture taken at the Rising Con to play@sitgesfilmfestival.com. The 4 best photos (in the festival’s opinion) will win the 4 Matinee Passes. Each participant can only send a maximum of 1 photo and the criteria for choosing the winning pictures will be their originality and creativity. All participants must by 18 or over. The deadline for sending these photos is Wednesday 16 June (no photos will be accepted beyond this date). The 4 photos with the names of the 4 winners will be published on June 18th at www.facebook.com/sitgesfilmfestival.

Each Matinee Pass is for 1 person and allows him or her to attend all of the morning and midday screenings at the Auditori throughout the festival. Exceptions: not valid to access 3D movies or last day Marathons. (If necessary, the festival reserves the right to change the features of the Matinee Pass, which will be duly announced).
