The film may look like a crude-talking teen flick, but the movie turned out to
be as important as some indie films of today. Free speech, pressure, perfection, the government, teachers, and other authority figures are not spared in this depiction.An important voice especially in the high tech world of today.
Also, this movie introduced Samantha Mathis.
