Review: Star Wars Revelations

Staff Writer: Samuntha Mackenzie

2 3/4 out of 5 shovels

A fan film set in the Star Wars universe creates a new chapter in the saga. In this forty-five minute episode, we learn about seers, the Emperor’s Hand, and how the Empire destroyed the Jedi.

The acting was par, but could have been more relaxed to develop better chemistry and timing between the actors. For instance, some jokes carries off well while others did not. Perhaps more direction was necessary in these areas. The script was well done but still needed further revision. In the case, the redundancy in the episode could have been evaded.

Special effects were fine. Music was too loud for the volume set for the speech, overbearing in the beginning, but calmed for a better fit with the rest of the film.

Although there were some areas that needed a professional gloss, the film was good and interesting. Movies are to entertain. This one did.

We will wait for the next episode to discover more about tags and rejected Jedi.
