Twits for Twitter

Staff Writer: Samuntha Mackenzie

As Twitter offers paid commercial accounts to business clientele, the company loses face with its base. The people who made Twitter a positive force have been slammed aside. Twitter no longer sees the trees through the forest but the money in the bank.

Since the discovery of memos about the irrelevance of Sean Combs aka P. Diddy, or as OHG likes to call him: You-Know-Who [YKW]- ("not so strategic," and complain that "Diddy values his contribution higher than we do.") , Twitter has all but turned tail. Now appeasing the man is what the social media does to no end.

For example, Twitter espouses:

"And, far from challenging his strategic mind and value as an asset to the startup, Biz is saying very flattering things about Diddy in public.

“When we came away from that meeting with P. Diddy, we were super impressed with how savvy he was,” Stone now says.

'He has stayed relevant for so long and how does he do it? He’s constantly reinventing himself.'"

Twitter for its good intentions to stifle strife has taken the obsession passed business strategy and into the realm of irreputable damage.

Perhaps if YKW was relevant, then maybe everyone in the Twitterverse would be signed up to read his daily blurbs. But we're not. One person complained about his tweets as: "Considering the blurbs I’ve read & received, do I really want to read about Diddy Twittering tantric sex? About taking a bubble bath? I won’t delve too far off track but, by the looks of things, I think Diddy’s fishing for…enh, I’ll stop." Is that something his underage fans should be seeing from the guy?

YKW is only for YKW. Want an example? Take the television show Supernatural. Last week the #Luciferiscoming was posted for fans to talk about and express their excitement for the fifth season premiere episode. Not to YKW. #Godiscoming flamed back as YKW helped cause a panic on Twitter like Satanists had taken over the popular site.

The thing is: if you clicked the attached link the understanding of the show would have been obvious. YKW could have cleared up the misunderstanding. That was too much to ask. Instead idiocy was abundant since Supernatural's tags were removed from the Trending Topics, etc. Did YKW complain to Twitter who jumped at his command? We wonder.

This week, again, Supernatural and its hash tags were removed from the Trending Topics. Why? A source says that YKW complained like all four year olds do. The hash tag this week was: #pdiddyisafraidofhistv. He can bring stupidity to the masses by supporting an ungodly campaign but he can't reap the consequences of his actions? Yep, four years old.

Twitter is no better. The social media has made YKW a monster with power. Fans want their power back.

Instead of helping this crisis erupt any further, here's an idea: Don't give the meglomanic anymore of your time. Don't hash tag his name, business, or underlings. Anything he does or supports: ignore. If you are following him: stop. Stop buying anything connected with him. Show him how irrelevant he really is.

Then complain to Twitter about their policies in connection with this incident. Let the company know, if it's all right to be burdened by adult content, icons, and tweets, then leave fans of Supernatural alone.

For God sakes, we're not Satan worshipers. We're trying to stop Lucifer from coming. Hello.
